History of Grama Panchayat

The settlement in Koodaranhi started on September 24, 1946. Before that, tribals lived in areas like Panakkachal Hills and elsewhere. The immigration history of Koodaranhi is an inspiring story of a brave, determined, and self-sacrificing community. Elders say that the name Koodaranhi came from the area's waterlogged land where the rivers meet Iravanjipuzha. Records show that by 1948, around 125 families were living in the Koodaranhi area.
